Unless Noel like ... crushes it in their warded entry and gives some sort of valiant speech, she will continue to be annoyed and confused with him. Which actually lends some reasoning to why she might be launching herself at Cameron in the middle of the night.

STUPID HIGH SCHOOLER STORY TIME!!

one time in hs, a boy i had known for 10 whole minutes put his arm around me on the couch to cuddle (????) and i didn't know what to do so i just leaned into it.

the next day he asked me to be his gf and i didn't know what to do so i just said yes.
i wasn't really interested in him like that, but it was an extremely chaste romance and he'd buy me fancy milkshakes and ice cream and all i had to do was go to the occasional church youth night and volunteer at the special ed after school program with him and sometimes hold his hand in the hallway.

but then ONE DAY after MONTHS of dating (like... 5 months???) he VERY REASONABLY tried to go in for a kiss after one of our milkshake dates and i dodged it by turning my cheek and then i ghosted the fuck out of him for like TWO WEEKS before he finally hunted me down in the hallway to break up with me

anyway, every time i think these kids are Too Stupid to be like actual high schoolers, i remember what i was like as a high schooler and it was Worse

There was this kid on my debate team who I mooned over and wrote all these embarrassing journal entries about like, “Adam is so HOTTTT <333”

And then eventually we started dating after many riveting MSN exchanges and it was very chaste and all cuddling for about a month but when he tried to kiss me in the hall after school one day I literally ducked under his arm and BOOKED IT

So he went around to ALL our mutual friends and a bunch of his friends that I DIDNT KNOW and had them write reasons why he should get to kis me into this notebook, which he eventually lured me into his car to present to me. I was BRIGHT RED and rage tearing up after reading it which he must have mistaken for a good sign??? Because he tried to kiss me again and I put the notebook between our faces and held it there the whole ride home.

Needless to say, we broke up. But then I found out years later that he was having sex with one of my best friends the whole time??? High school was a trip.
